About Robert CowleyBorn in 1947, married 25 years, and with five children, Robert not only has theoretical knowledge of many of life's situations but direct personal experience too. It is in the identification and resolution of the myriad 'difficult' situations, we can all find ourselves in, as human beings, that he is able to facilitate successful solutions and formulate more appropriate strategies for living. None of us is solely individual but situated in society; we are generally interdependent. We are situated in families and communities, where interpersonal communication, at a functional pragmatic level, is of utmost importance in creating harmony whilst at the same time being effective. There is always more at play in any interaction than we see; things are not what they seem, on the surface, in human relations, and it is the hidden psychodynamics of communication that create the true meaning of our messages to each other. Robert has a deep interest in understanding and helping others to understand the fuller meaning of what they are actually communicating.
